Theater Staff
Director: Mrs. Kelsy Brookins
This is Mrs. Kelsy Brookins's (ne. Hribar) eighth year at Greenfield High School and first with her new, married last name! She teaches English and Theater Arts and was previously a Spectrum Yearbook Advisor. Her favorite directing credits at Greenfield include Clue: HS Edition (2021), The Addams Family (2021), The Doctor in Wonderland (2019), The Little Dog Laughed (2017), and A Murder is Announced (2017). She began her career with Hawks Drama as the costume designer for Seussical the Musical (2016).
Prior to her time in Greenfield, Mrs. Brookins taught English and directed theater arts at Pardeeville Area High School. At PAHS, she worked in a wonderful gym-a-torium on shows such as Peter Pan and Wendy and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Mrs. Kelsy Brookins obtained her degree in Theatre Education and Secondary English Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2014.

Vocal Music Director: Mr. Elias King
This is Eli King's fifth year at Greenfield High School. He teaches the five high school choirs, as well as Piano, Guitar, Adaptive Music, and a Survey of Music. In recent years, he worked with Greenfield High School students in Little Shop of Horrors (2022), The Addams Family (2021), Guys and Dolls (2020), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (2019), and Mary Poppins The Broadway Musical (2018). He graduated from UW-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts with a BFA in Music Education, and is certified to teach choral and general music. In addition to his choral activity at Greenfield High School, Mr. King is a member of the Milwaukee-based Chant Claire Chamber Choir, and he serves as the choir director for Friend's Music Camp during the summer. He also graced the stage at the Malthouse in Burlington, WI as he starred in A Gentlemen's Guide to Love and Murder as Monty.
Pit Orchestra Director: Mrs. Marissa Narlock
This is Marissa Narlock's seventh year with the Greenfield High School Band. Before coming to Greenfield, Mrs. Narlock had been a member of the Cedarburg High School Marching Band staff for four years and worked as a woodwind and visual coach as well as the assistant marching band director. She also served as Director of Bands at Webster Middle School and Co-Director of Bands at Cedarburg High School for the 2015-2016 school year. Prior to working with Cedarburg, Marissa was the Director of Bands at Pius XI High School in Milwaukee Wisconsin, where she taught sixth through twelfth grade band and served as the Instrumental Coordinator for the Pius Performing Arts Academy from 2011-2014.
Receiving her Bachelor’s in Instrumental Music Education from Carthage College in 2010, Marissa Narlock completed her Master’s degree in Education Leadership and Administration from Concordia University-Portland in 2016. Marissa maintains a busy performance schedule and private clarinet and piano studio in Washington County. She enjoyed being a full-time member of the Lakeshore Symphonic Band for the past six years but is taking an extended break after the birth of her first child, Wallace.
Marissa Narlock is a member of the National Association for Music Education, Lambda Kappa Professional Music Fraternity and is a past president for the Lakeshore Symphonic Band.

Technical Director and PAC Manager: Mr. Steve Tonar
This is Steve Tonar's fourth year with Hawks Drama. Steve began working in professional and educational theatre in 2009, and stumbled into his career all because they didn't have his instrument in the pit that year. His past Greenfield credits include: Guys and Dolls (Scenic and Sound), The Doctor in Wonderland (Lighting, Scenic, and Sound), and Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Scenic and Sound).
Some favorite light designs include Disney's Newsies at Divine Savior Holy Angels, Young Playwrights Festival at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Anthem for a Collective Body at UMN, UMN/Guthrie Theatre (Polaroid Stories; Uncle Vanya; Henry VI: Ascension & Contention; and World Without End). Some of Steve's past Assistant Lighting Design credits include A Year With Frog & Toad at Children's Theatre Company, MN and Energy and U with the UofM Theatre/Chemistry Departments. A favorite Sound design credit is Oklahoma! at Skylight Music Theatre. Additionally, he has worked extensively with Skylight Music Theatre as their Lighting and Projections Programmer, and Lead Electrician for the Cabot Mainstage since 2017. Some shows Steve programmed were Carmina Burana, Five Guys Named Moe, Urinetown, Zombies from The Beyond, Doubt, and Sherlock Holmes: Case of the Jersey Lily.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Design with an emphasis on Lighting Design from the University of Minnesota's Department of Theatre and Dance. While at UMN, Steve also began doing theatre photography to capture his designs, which allowed him to be published by the University for their BFA/Guthrie training program.
